One of my favorite sayings is "life is short". And thinking about this phrase, it often holds true as to how I have lived my life. The uncertainty that drives each day makes me uneasy in a sense. Am I doing enough to be who I am "pre-ordained" to be. Or am I simply just going through these motions where one sunrise will lead to one sunset...rinse...repeat. It always fascinates me how people are so afraid to step out of their tiny bubble and just...live. I mean what would happen if you did just that? I mean really think about THAT for a second. Hmmm...you'd have the time of your fuckin' life? You'd make a new friend? You'd fall in love? There are an infinite number of possibilities in this so-called life of ours from one moment to the next. So why not?
My guy Andre(3000) and I came up with this life system over 10 years ago. Simply called B.Y.E. or Best Year Ever. What started as a "fuck it lets cop these court-side Wizards tickets" turned into years of globetrotting, shenanigans and a quality of life most people can rarely imagine. But what makes 3 Stacks and I different from the average person? Short answer: nothing. Long answer: State of Mind. Andre and I believe that life should be lived to its fullest capacity. What that entails exactly is honestly up to each individual. Do we have limits? Sure... maybe financially it isn't feasible when you want it, but in time even those lofty aspirations can come to fruition.
The only people generally holding themselves back are well, people themselves. "I gotta work." "I can't because of the kids." "I'll go next month." Until the excuses become the condition rather than the norm and that passport you were so excited to get two years ago only has greetings from Canada because you figured Niagara Falls could be done in a weekend.
You don't wanna look back and say "I wish..."! It should be "HEY REMEMBER WHEN..."
Life won't get any shorter. Don't wait around for other people to fulfill these inner desires you have harvested. Go out and make it happen. And years from now you will be thanking me. And that will be because you decided to take a chance that lead you to an adventure of a lifetime...
